Worlds Collide (2015)

We all share the world together, but it often doesn't feel that way. This artwork conveys the hopes for different humans, different animals, and technology to peacefully co-exist on Earth. The silver lining between the figures represents the apparent gap not only among humans, animals, and technology, but also within each category. The humans are divided, each water-colored with boldly contrasting colors, showing that they come from different backgrounds. The animals are depicted through pointillism, making their figures slightly less clear than the humans or technology which in recent years, have contributed to their harm and even extinction. However, when all these fragments are put together, it creates one picture. I intended to show that all three categories constantly interact in this world, and we must make an effort to co-exist since without any one of them, like this picture, the world would not be complete.
